In the fourth quarter of 2022, the top social networking apps on the iOS platform in Brazil demonstrated interesting trends in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at how these apps performed, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, starting from around $35K at the beginning of October and peaking at approximately $43K in the final week of December. Weekly downloads for the app showed consistent growth, reaching nearly 7.9K by the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a healthy rise, climbing from 180K in late September to almost 196K by the end of December.

BIGO LIVE-Live Stream, Go Live experienced a significant increase in weekly revenue, jumping from around $9K at the start of the quarter to a peak of about $37K in mid-December. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a notable spike to nearly 6K in mid-December. Active users saw a gradual increase, stabilizing at around 55K by the end of the year.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out maintained a steady performance in weekly revenue, which peaked at approximately $12K in the last week of December. Weekly downloads also showed growth, reaching over 31K in the final week of the year. The number of active users remained relatively stable throughout the quarter, hovering around the 680K to 700K mark.

Facebook continued to lead in terms of weekly downloads, which reached as high as 139K by the end of December. Weekly revenue varied slightly, peaking at around $8K in early November. Active users remained strong, increasing from 25.8M in late September to nearly 26.7M by the end of December.

Life360: Find Friends & Family showed moderate growth in weekly revenue, peaking at around $7.7K in mid-December. Weekly downloads hit their highest point at approximately 18K in mid-December. However, active users experienced a slight decline, decreasing from about 206K in late September to around 187K by the end of the quarter.
